58th District Canvass Canceled
No one else filed to run against Rob Bell for the House of Delegate’s seat, so Rob will become our nominee.
The Canvass, scheduled across the 58th district on June 8, is officially canceled.

As Chairman of the 58th House District Committee of the Republican Party, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Cynthia Burket, do hereby issue this call for a Legislative District Party Canvass to be held at Albemarle County: Hollymead Elementary School, 2775 Powell Creek Drive, Charlottesville Va. 22911. Fluvanna County: Fluvanna County Public Library, 214 Commons Blvd. Palmyra, Va. 22963. Greene County: Greene County Court House, 22 Court Street, Stanardsville, Va. 22973. Rockingham County: Elkton Area Community Center, 20593 Blue And Gold Drive, Elkton, Va. 22827, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on June 8, 2013, for the purposes of: (a) nominating a Republican candidate for the office of Delegate to be voted for in the general election on November 5, 2013.
Qualifications for Participation
All legal and qualified voters of the 58th House District under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions or primaries encompassing their respective election districts.
Filing Requirements
Candidates for the Republican nomination at said canvass shall file a written statement by mail or in person along with the filing fee, to Cynthia Burket at 1366 Huntersfield Close, Keswick, Virginia 22947, which must be received not later than 5:00 p.m. on May 31, 2013. Postmarks will not govern. If only one candidate properly files, then said candidate shall be declared the Republican nominee and no canvass will be held.
Registration Fee
There will be a mandatory filing fee of twice the primary fee of 2% of one year’s minimum salary for the office for which the candidate is seeking in the year in which he files. Based on this criteria the filing fee will be $705.60.

As Chairman of the Fluvanna Republican Committee of the Republican Party, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Debbie Rittenhouse, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at Historic Courthouse, starting at 6:30pm local time on May 16, 2013 for the following purposes:
a) Nominating a Republican candidate for the office of Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors (in each Rivanna, Cunningham, and Columbia Districts) to be voted for in the General Election on November 5, 2013;
b) for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the mass meeting.
Qualifications for Participation
All legal and qualified voters of Fluvanna County under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions or primaries encompassing their respective election districts.

Postmarks do not govern. The Mass Meeting will be canceled if no more than one candidate for nomination per district pre-files.

There will be no registration fee to participate in this mass meeting.

Mass Meeting of the Fluvanna Republican Committee
of the Republican Party of Virginia
As Chairman of the Fluvanna Republican Committee of the Republican Party, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Debbie Rittenhouse, do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at the Fluvanna Public Library, starting at 1:00pm local time on Saturday, March 23, 2013 for the following purposes:
a) Electing up to 230 Delegates and an equal number of Alternates to the Republican Party of Virginia’s
State Convention, to be held on Friday May 17th and Saturday May 18th, 2013 at the Richmond
Coliseum located at 601 East Leigh Street, Richmond, Virginia beginning at 2:00 PM local time on
Friday May 17th [No voting for candidates for the office of Governor, Lt. Governor or Attorney General
will be conducted prior to 12:00 PM local time on Saturday May 18, 2013] for the purposes of
nominating a Republican candidate for Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General. Each unit is
entitled to one (1) Delegate Vote per 250 Republican votes for Governor and President at their last
election, so that Fluvanna County is entitled to 46 Delegate Votes;
b) And for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the Mass Meeting.

1296 Payne’s Landing Road, Scottsville, Virginia 24590, which must
be received not later than 6:00pm on March 20th. Postmarks will not govern.
Fees
There will be no registration fee to participate in this Mass Meeting. The Republican Party of Virginia is
requesting a voluntary $35 filing fee from all individuals seeking election as a Delegate to the State Convention. Checks need to be made out to the “Republican Party of Virginia”.
